Project name: University of Lancaster drainage survey
Client name: Dynamic FM Ltd
Location: Lancaster
Date: January 2025 - April 2025
Value: £80k

The challenge

The University of Lancaster asked Trust to carry out an extensive CCTV survey of its drainage system, developing a detailed map to document their drainage assets.

The role we played

Our drainage experts provided the CCTV survey, as well as AutoCAD mapping, GPS surveying and high-pressure pipe cleansing. All of the data was sent to our business data processing team for comprehensive analysis and map generation. One of the biggest challenges was that the university stayed open throughout, with drains in use and sometimes unable to be surveyed. To overcome this, certain sections of the university grounds transitioned to night shifts, so we could generate raw data more efficiently.

The impact we made

We provided the university with a thorough map of their drainage system and assets, precisely meeting their expectations. This enabled them to produce reports and new tenders for future developments. They gave our team very positive feedback and asked us to carry out all of the necessary pipe repairs, leaving their system in good, robust shape.

“Whether it’s routine maintenance or an emergency situation, Trust always have our backs. No delays, no complaints and always minimal disruption.”
