Positive feedback from CityFibre Lincoln

Since 2021, Trust’s been working as Principle Contractor on the CityFibre framework in Lincoln. It’s a huge project that’s seen us install fibre for over 40,000 properties across the city.

While completing the work, we’ve collaborated closely with Lincolnshire County Council to keep disruption to local residents at a minimum.

We’re very pleased to share the positive feedback we’ve received from Ashley Behan, Streetworks and Permitting Manager for Lincolnshire County Council.

“Trust were appointed by City Fibre as principal contractor for the delivery of a £21 million fibre network build in Lincolnshire.

Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) had some previous experience of Trust from other utility contracts and had found them a competent and collaborative contractor to work with.

Throughout the 20-month City Fibre build in Lincoln, Trust have maintained a positive working relationship with LCC. Trust have ensured their management team engage with LCC at weekly progress meetings and share forward works programmes on a regular basis.

Trust have been proactive in managing defects raised by LCC, with a high percentage being resolved in a quick timeframe.

Trust have worked with LCC and Aggregate Industries to trial new materials on site with a view to improving the quality of reinstatements and reducing defects.

A large infrastructure build is never without its challenges - from our experience in Lincoln, we would be confident that Trust have the capability and resource to deliver this type of work successfully, whilst ensuring the Highway Authority requirements are adhered to and therefore ensuring residents and road users are not unduly impacted.”
