Project completion: NCC Victoria Bus Station

Nottingham’s Victoria Bus station plays a key part in the city’s transport system, and in March 2025, the Trust team collaborated with Nottingham City Council to upgrade its infrastructure.

The main focus of the project was to improve pedestrian safety by reconfiguring the bus parking area. We made sure all stakeholders were actively involved, right from the start, and maintained regular contact throughout to minimise disruption in this busy part of the city.

To make sure there were safe, efficient routes through the site, we provided a dedicated traffic management expert for the duration of the project, and completed part of the work during the evenings, when fewer people were using the area.

During the work, Nottingham City Council asked us to expand our role by working closely with specialist delivery partners on resurfacing the bus bays.

We’re pleased to say we completed the whole project on time and on budget, receiving excellent feedback from the client on the new layout we created.
